Successful outreach in Shanghai!
Today I spent the day at Dulwich College International - Shanghai working with students in different settings. I spent time with advanced students one-on-one, intermediate students in classes, and young students in an assembly. It was great being able to work with one student in particular on Ibert's Concertino da Camera, a piece I know exceptionally well. All of the students were incredibly receptive and enjoyable to work with. The younger students enjoyed my presentation of music with electronics too; I performed Jacob TV's Billie and Ben Montgomery's Machine. And to top the whole day off, the woodwind specialist at the school is a fellow alumni of Shenandoah! What a spectacular day, of course topped off by a visit to a Shanghai rooftop bar with a beautiful view of the skyline!
